The Irish Lawn Bowls Association (ILBA) Championships 2023 were held at Bray Bowling Club. Leinster was represented by Pat MacDonagh Mary Kenny Andrea Sheridan and Lynn Killen in the fours, Andrea in the singles and Pat and Mary in the Pairs. Delighted to report they won both the rinks and the pairs, Andrea was beaten 21/20 in the singles. They had fantastic support from Leinster members all week long and now wishing them the best of luck in Belfast.
They are heading to Ballymeana on Friday for the finals against the winners from the Associations in the North. If they are successful they will represent Ireland at the British Isles Competitions in England next year. Winning the rinks was very special for Pat as she has now won every competition at the Championships.
The new outfits for Umpires was launched at the Championships, as you can see Paul and Pat looking very well in them. They both worked hard in Bray marking singles matches.
