The President & Captains’ Day was held last Sunday 24 August at Leinster. There were about 40 members present, bowls was played until 5.00pm and concluded just as the rain arrived. The members then retired to the Bar and later to the Function Room where our Ladies laid on a substantial meal. To mark the occasion, our Secretary Lucy O’Donoghue presented presents to the President, Pat Kenny and the two Captains, Kitty Roberts and Robert Meany.
After the meal the President presented prizes to the winning team and the Captains’ presented prizes to teams in second & third place. A special prize was presented by the President to Charlie Ryan in recognition of his work in researching and compiling the major portion of our Centenary Booklet in 2013.
