The Club Competitions took place last weekend the 25th., 26th. & 27th. of September 2015. The weather was ideal for bowling but the warm sunshine failed to attract the support of our members. The Competition Controllers, Robbie Meany & Mary Kenny did an excellent job in scheduling events over three days to accommodate competitors in multiple competitions. A big “thank you” to all who helped over the weekend. Great credit is due to Eamon Brennan for the stamina and consistent high standard of bowling he displayed over the three days. Eamon entered the 7 competitions available to him and got to 5 finals, he was on two of the winning teams and was narrowly beaten in the Mens’ Handicap Singles by Thomas Smyth and in the Mens’ Senior Championship Singles by Paul Smyth. Pat MacDonagh played in three singles competitions including the Ladies’ Senior Championship Singles and won all three.
The Prize-giving event will take place at our Annual Dinner & Presentations, Friday 23 October 2015.
