Leinster Bowling Club members organised a day of bowling competitions to raise funds for the Dundrum ARCH Club on Wednesday 20 March 2019.
Matches were played over two sessions, morning and afternoon and prizes were awarded to the three teams with the highest scores in each session.
The event was well supported by members from Leinster and other bowling clubs.
During the interval between sessions, Pat MacDonagh introduced the chairperson of the Dundrum ARCH Club, Lorraine Keegan who gave a brief outline of the club activities.
Dundrum ARCH Club is a social club for people with intellectual disabilities age 16 and over. The club is run by volunteers and has over 100 members and 25 helpers who get together each week to enjoy a number of activities such as bingo, computers, sports, arts & crafts etc. They are also involved in social activities outside of their club. All these activities are supported by fundraising.
Leinster Bowling Club is delighted to host this fundraising event for such a worthy cause. Pat MacDonagh thanked all who participated in this event, for their contributions, those who purchased raffle tickets and those who contributed prizes.
