It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death of our much loved & respected former member Philda Gallagher. Philda was a long time member of Leinster Bowling Club, she was an accomplished bowler and contributed greatly to the success of the Ladies Section of the Club, she was Ladies Captain in 2008. Philda died suddenly but peacefully at home in the arms of Paddy her beloved husband and best friend of 64 years. She will forever be missed and remembered lovingly by her children Fiona, Brian and Niamh, her sons and daughter-in-law, Nigel, Tom and Ursula. Beloved grandmother to Aisling, Nicki, Ciaran, Mark, Joanne, Conor, Meg and Sam and all their partners and a loving nana to her 8 great-grandchildren. She will be remembered tenderly by her nieces and nephews whom she cherished. She died as she lived, gently and peacefully. Philda’s many friends at Leinster send their condolence to her husband Paddy ( Honorary Life Member, Leinster Bowling Club) to her family and her extended family and friends and share in their loss at this time.  May she Rest In Peace.

Philda’s funeral Mass took place today Thursday, 9th January 2025, in St Colmcille’s Church, Knocklyon at 11am followed by burial in Kilmashogue Cemetery.
