The Winter Social Competitions which are run from October to March have now concluded. The competitions were managed by Ron Prince assisted by Arthur McMullen, Pat MacDonagh & Tony Fitzpatrick. The results are as follows:
Wednesday Rinks: Winner – Tony Fitzpatrick, 2nd – Derek McCarthy, 3rd – Eamon Brennan.
Friday Triples: Winner – Eamon Brennan, 2nd – Anto Grey, 3rd – Mary Kenny.
Easter Competition: Winner – Tony Fitzpatrick, 2nd – Anto Grey, 3rd – Bernie Vaughan.
A splendid buffet was provided in the Bar, courtesy of our lady members, Pat MacDonagh, Alice McMullen, Mary Kenny, Anne Fitzgerald, & Agnes Gillick.
Our President, Lorcan Finn, assisted by Ron Prince presented prizes and all present received an Easter Egg. Ron thanked all those who participated in the Winter Social Competitions especially the Winter Members from other clubs for their support and invited them to join us again for Winter Membership 2017/18. Ron asked for a minutes silence to remember our late President, Jack McCarthy who passed away recently. (See News & Events 23/03/17).
Finally Ron reminded the members of the following upcoming events at Leinster: Special Olympics Charity Event, Quiz Night, Leinster Bowling Club Unfurling and Open Day at Leinster. (see News/Events for details)
