The Ladies Bowling Section held their Christmas Dinner in the Kafka Restaurant Rathmines on Thursday 18th. December. They were greeted on arrival by Lady Captain Anne O’Herlihy and a lovely meal was enjoyed by all. Marion Farrell was presented with a beautiful fresh flower Christmas arrangement as winner of the draw for those in attendance. Present were Kay Burke, Pat Burke, Maura Donovan, Joan Downes, Marion Farrell, Agnes Gillick, Carmel Hourican, Mary Keating, Mary Kenny, Vivien Lee, Pat MacDonagh, Alice McMullen, Vera McGurin, Bernie Noble, Eileen Smyth, Marie Tormey and Anne O’Herlihy. Alan Smith, President of the Cricket Section called to the Restaurant to wish the Ladies a Happy Christmas.
The Ladies then returned to the Leinster Clubhouse for Carols, mince pies and mulled wine. This was arranged by the Tennis Section who were having their Finals of the Team Tennis. The Tennis Section and the Choir warmly greeted the Ladies and a wonderful night was had by all.
