Winter Social Bowling & Christmas Buffet 2023.

The first session of the Wednesday & Friday Winter Social Bowling Competitions concluded on Wednesday 13 December. The second session will commence in January 2024 and run until the end of March 2024. The first section was well supported by Leinster members and members from other clubs who availed of Winter Membership at Leinster. The organising committee marked this occasion with a
Christmas Buffet to thank all who supported the competitions and all club members were invited.The buffet was a resounding success and the Function Room was full to capacity.
After the meal, committee members Pat MacDonagh & Mary Kenny dispensed prizes for first, second & third places respectively in the following competitions:
Wednesday Competitions.
Liam Quinn, Michael Gaughran & Billy Eccles.
Friday Competitions.
Mary Kenny, Agnes Gillick & Ray Moore.

The Ladies Captain, Mary Kelly, presented a bouquet of flowers to the “Ladies Player of the Year,” Pat MacDonagh.
The “Mens Player of the Year” was Pat Taaffe. (not present).

Our new Club President, Annette Finn made a presentation the Pat MacDonagh in recognition of her winning the ILBA Rinks this year. Pat has now won all four ILBA events, Singles, Pairs, Trips & Rinks. Quite an achievement and well done Pat.
Annette also made a presentation to “Lady Person of the Year” Anne Fitzgerald and to “Mens Person of the Year” Billy Eccles.

The Event concluded with Pat & Mary thanking all who attended, wishing them a Happy Christmas and looking forward to meeting them again in January.
