The annual unfurling of the flag ceremony was held at Leinster on Saturday afternoon 2 April 2016. The President, Eugene Fannon welcomed the members especially those who had not played in the Winter season and he wished all an enjoyable season ahead.
Eugene then unfurled the Leinster Bowling Club Flag to mark the opening of the Summer bowling season.
The Ladies Captain, Pat MacDonagh & the Club Captain, Lorcan Finn addressed the members, outlining details of pre-season practice matches and the commencement of the LBLI & BLI League Matches and Competitions. Both captains then rolled the symbolic first woods of the season after which tea & sandwiches were provided in the Bar, courtesy of the ladies.
