An Open Day for those interested in the game of Lawn Bowls was held in Leinster on Saturday afternoon 21 February. Approximately 20 persons turned up for the event and they were welcomed by President Eugene Fannon and members of the Club. Coaches were present to explain the game and assist the players in the match that followed. An enjoyable afternoon was had by all and light refreshments were served later.

Eugene wishes to thank those who came along to try out the game and the Coaches and Club Members for assisted him on the day. In particular he wishes to thank the Community Gardai in Rathmines for their assistance in promoting this event.

It is proposed to run a similar event on Saturday 11 April.
